چکیده
The thermal environment and thermal effect is one of the most important contents in city climate and environment researches. Retrieving and analyzing land surface temperature (LST) is an efficient way to research thermal environmental problem of earth surface. Taking Fuzhou as the study area, this paper uses CBERS-02 IRMSS thermal infrared remote sensing data for generalized single-channel algorithm developed by Jiménez-Munoz and Sobrino to inverse surface temperature. MODIS data received on the same day was used to compute the atmospheric water vapour content in the pixel scale which is a important parameter for the algorithm. Based on the results of the inversion, we introduce the human body comfort index to evaluate the urban thermal environment of Fuzhou by revising its evaluation system. The results show that the combinations of multi-satellite remote sensing data can the accuracy of the surface temperature inversion. And the HCI method can be effectively used to describe the quality of urban thermal environment. * Corresponding author. [email protected]

An Efficient Approach for Pixel Decomposition to Increase the Spatial Resolution of Land Surface Temperature Images from MODIS Thermal Infrared Band Data
Land surface temperature (LST) images retrieved from the thermal infrared (TIR) band data of Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) have much lower spatial resolution than the MODIS visible and near-infrared (VNIR) band data. The coarse pixel scale of MODIS LST images (1000 m under nadir) have limited their capability in applying to many studies required high spatial resolution i...
متن کاملA comprehensive data set of lake surface water temperature over the Tibetan Plateau derived from MODIS LST products 2001–2015
Lake surface water temperature (LSWT) is sensitive to long-term changes in thermal structure of lakes and regional air temperature. In the context of global climate change, recent studies showed a significant warming trend of LSWT based on investigating 291 lakes (71% are large lakes, ≥50 km2 each) globally. However, further efforts are needed to examine variation in LSWT at finer regional spat...

Air temperature (Tair) near the ground surface is a fundamental descriptor of terrestrial environment conditions and one of the most widely used climatic variables in global change studies. The main objective of this study was to explore the possibility of retrieving high-resolution Tair from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) land surface temperature (LST) products, cove...

Split window (SW) methods, which have been successfully used to retrieve measurements of land surface temperature (LST) and sea surface temperature (SST) from MODIS images, were exploited to evaluate the SST data of three sections of Italian coastal waters. For this purpose, sea surface emissivity (SSE) values were estimated by adding the effects of salinity and total suspended particulate matt...
